Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent full or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Blackpool.

The role offers flexible working hours between 30 - 40 hours per week with a 1:3 weekend rota.

This is an established practice and due to continued expansion are now in need of an additional Vet.

They practice offers a range of veterinary services and has state of the art equipment including digital radiography and ultrasonography. The team comprises of 2 Vets, 1 Senior Vet, 2 RVNS, 2 SVNS, 1 VCA and supporting staff.

About the role

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in routine surgeries and consultations however there is plenty of support available from the senior Vet should the applicant need some handholding in routine surgeries. Therefore, this role offers training and mentoring to the right applicant however applications from more experienced veterinary surgeons are also applicable. The Vet surgeon must be proactive and forward thinking with excellent communication and customer service skills.

About You:

  • You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will be competent in all areas of routine surgeries and medical cases
  • You will be a forward thinking pro-active veterinary surgeon
  • You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
