Permanent Farm Veterinary Surgeon Winterborne Stickland, Dorset

A large animal practice located on the outskirts of Winterborne in Dorset are recruiting a permanent Farm animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them. This is a full-time role working 4/5 days per week with a 1:5 OOH Rota with 1:4 long weekends.

The practice is looking for a Farm animal Vet to over the health and the welfare of their client's stock which comprises of mainly Dairy and Beef and there is also a lot of small ruminant work.

The practice is fully equipped with facilities including Ultrasound scanners, bull & amp, ram fertility testing, in house laboratory, mobile foot crush, x-ray, hospitalisation facilities, in house operating & amp and a nurse supported on farm.

About You:

• You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
• Various levels of large animal experience considered
• You will need to be confident in sole charge work
• You should have compassionate and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.
• You would be qualified in fertility, cattle health and production, foot care and mobility, young stock and farm management

• Experience in TB Testing experience is advantageous
• You will be a forward-thinking vet, compassionate and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.

Package:

• Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 commensurate to experience
