Job description
A large animal practice located in Sevenoaks are looking for a farm animal vet to join their growing team. The Vet would be joining a team of 7 other Vets along with a non-clinical support team. This is part of a large animal veterinary group with multiple branch practices. This is varied case load between dairy, beef sheep, camelids and small holders. The practice also does their own TB testing. There is a large client base in this area and the practice believe in building strong working relationships, so they ensure that there are two Vets for each Farm so to offer continuity for their clients. The practice has a strong preventative medicine bias so the right candidate would also advocate this ethos.
They are looking for a Vet with a minimum of 1 year farm animal experience and someone who is comfortable with scanning, surgeries, and ooh work. there is support available for development of skills and knowledge so the role is ideal for someone who is looking for a role where they can progress.
Key Details:
Type: Small Animal
Hours: Monday - Friday Full time
Weekends: 1:3 weekend rota as a minimum
OOH: Yes on a rota
Sole charge: Some
Consultations: 15 Minutes
Branch work: Possible if required

About You:
You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
Various levels of experience considered - 1 year minimum required
You will need to be confident in sole charge work
You must be competent in all areas of large animal work
You should have compassionate and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.
You would be qualified in fertility, cattle health and production, foot care and mobility, youngstock and farm management
You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
Experience in TB Testing experience is advantageous
You will be a forward-thinking vet, compassionate and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.
Package:
Salary: 32,000 - 42,000 commensurate to experience
