We are recruiting for a Permanent Farm Animal Surgeon to join an independent mixed animal practice in Melton Mowbray.

This is a full-time position, and the farm Vet would be joining a team of 12 Vets and 8 supporting staff. They have 4 branches in total across the local area. The role offers 4.5 days per week with 1:5 weeknights on call and a 1:5 weekend rota on call with time off in lieu.

They require a farm vet to join them as they continue to grow from strength to strength.

The role

The role involves all aspects of farm work including dairy, sheep, beef and small holders.

Ideally an experienced Farm Veterinary Surgeon would be preferred however there is plenty of support available for a lesser experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is looking to develop their clinical skill set and knowledge. There is plenty of scope for progression and development of areas of special interest which would be fully supported.

This is a large and established mixed animal independent group of practices offering a wide range of modern Veterinary Services and facilities. All their branches are fully equipped with the latest diagnostic technology including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and blood machines.

The practice provides a vehicle and mobile phone with the position. They require an ambitious and motivated veterinary surgeon with excellent client facing skills. Relationship building is important, so the Vet needs to be able to establish strong working relationships with all their clients. They must also work well as part of a team and have good communication skills. Salary package is commensurate to experience

• Hours Mon-Fri: 4.5 Days per week

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least a years' experience behind them since qualifying however support is available if required. You will have a keen interest in all aspects of Farming medicine and ideally will have an area of special interest that you would like to pursue. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
