Job description

We are working with a specialist referral practice in Buckinghamshire who are currently recruiting for a Neurology Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role would suit an RVN with previous experience in looking after neurological patients at a referral level. The RVN will provide support to the Neurology Team.

Key Details:

Type: Neurology Nurse Practitioner - RVN

Hours: FULL TIME - 40 hours per week

Main duties:

  • Providing ongoing support to the Neurology Team
  • The RVN will be a point of contact for clients who have patients within the neurology department
  • The RVN will be responsible for providing a high standard of clinical care to all patients
  • They will maintain communication within the neurology department to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day case load
  • The RVN will provide ongoing care to in patients within the department
  • The RVN will assess patients and patient progress and liaise with specialists

A specialist veterinary referral practice who aims to deliver world class veterinary care and customer service to our clients. The practice is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offer advanced treatment for orthopaedic, neurology, cardiology, and soft tissue cases. The onsite facilities include MRI and CT scanner suites, electro diagnostics, joint replacement systems and full radiography and arthroscopy equipment. They also have a dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation department, that includes aqua treadmills and much more.

The Person:

They are looking for a Nurse who works well within a large team and someone who is very much a team player. They will be looking for a position where they can work within a supportive and fun environment which offers training and development opportunities. They must be forward thinking and pro active with a friendly, empathetic attitude. They will be motivated and be able to work using their own initiative. Excellent customer service and communication skills are vital. They must embrace all aspects of the role, be able to multitask and prioritise and take a flexible approach the role. They must have solid nursing experience.

Must have:

RCVS registration

2+ years post graduate experience
