We have an opportunity for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join a mixed animal practice in Dover on a fixed term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The practice is looking for a veterinary surgeon who is experienced in small animal work and ideally with an interest in exotic and zoo animals. Training will be provided for exotic and zoo animal work if you are new to these areas but previous experience in all three areas is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine surgeries and must have excellent communication skills, high clinical standards and at least 6 months of practical experience gained in a small animal practice. You will have the ability to create trusting and dependable relationships with your clients and will provide the gold standard of care to the practice's patients and clients. The role will also involve some consult-only branch work in three other branches which are all 10 to 15 minutes away from the main practice.

The role is full time for 40 per week over 4 days from 9am to 7pm with a 1 in 5 weekends on-call. There will be no OOH work.
