Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting for a locum small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice on the outskirts of Basingstoke from the 28th June - 28th August. This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday with a minimum of 2 possibly 3 Saturdays during this period. This is not a sole charge position the Vet will be working with a supportive team of 7 Vets and 7 RVNS and 2 SVNS who are qualifying this month.

The role involves a mixture of both consultations and surgeries. Details further below. There is an accommodation allowance available. There are no ooh.

• Start Date: 28th June - 5th July
• End Date: Saturday 28 August
• Hours - Mon - Fri: Four days per week, 0900-18:30
• Weekend rota/hours: Saturday hours are 09:00-18:00. No sole charge. The locum Vet will cover 2 Saturdays in this period possibly 3.
• OOH rota/Hours: None
• Time of in lieu: N/a
• Sole Charge: None
• Computer system: RX Works
• Branch work: None
• Consult times: 9am -1pm & 3pm to 5:45 - Consults are 15 minutes but 30 for patients with complex issues.
• Surgery : On operating days the operating vet will operate morning through to mid-afternoon then will either do discharges and or emergency appointments if required.
• Team: 7 vets, 7 RVN 2 SVN. (SVN Qualifying January 2021) & 6 Receptionists and a Practice Manager
• Main duties: Consulting, Operating, inpatient care.
• Accommodation / Allowance: Allowance provided 50/day
• Other: Very varied caseload. Extremely friendly practice with very supportive team. Located close to the M3 on the outskirts of Basingstoke

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom

6 months related experience
