Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Rochford Essex for a Veterinary Nurse to join them to provide cover over a Maternity leave. The position is available from the 17th October onwards and will a full time role. The position will be for a minimum of 8 months potentially longer however the practice would also consider 3 month block bookings.

The role comprises of a mixture of shift patterns which are either 8.30am - 5.30pm, or 1pm - 7pm and the occasional split shift of 8.30am - 1pm and then 5pm - 7pm. For non very close local candidates the practice are able to work around split shifts. The position will be for a minimum of 8 months potentially longer.

There is a 1:4 Saturday rota working 8.30am - 4pm. When working a Saturday the nurse will work the 1pm - 7pm shift the day before. They will be joining a team of 3 vets and 3 Nurses.

Fixed term contract available or Umbrella.

• Start date: 17th October
• End date: Maternity cover
• Hours Mon-Fri: 8:30am until 5:30pm. 1pm - 7pm or 8.30am - 1pm then 5pm - 7pm. 5 days per week
• Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday shifts on a rota 8.30am - 4pm.
• OOH: None involved
• Team: 3 Vets & 3 Nurses
• Sole Charge: None required
• Computer System: Assisi
• Consult times: 15-minute appointments
• Accommodation: Not available, must be able to commute
• Duties: All aspects of 1st opinion general nursing duties.
• Other: Practice is closed on Bank Holidays
• Salary: Hourly rate negotiable and fixed term contract for 8 month on a pro rata salary

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Have excellent verbal / written communication skills
