We are in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice near Woodford , Essex on a one-year fixed term contract. This is full-time permanent position with no out of hours or weekends required! Rarely available position offering true work-life balance.

The practice has 3 sites on the outskirts of London, bordering Essex, with this role being based at their main hospital practice.

The Head nurse will be responsible for setting nursing standards and to ensuring all staff members adhere to and always achieve the highest clinical nursing standards. They will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of patient and client care provided by the nurses along with the provision of support to the Veterinary Surgeons. The HVN will support nursing staff in addition to their clinical work and adhere to practice protocols and policies. The HVN will be responsible for encouraging and supporting the Nurse lead clinics and be promoting this ensuring the long-term relationships between the nurses and clients are established.

The HVN will have a caring and empathetic attitude, always remain professional with excellent client facing skills. The HVN will ensure that training is provide where required to all nurses at all levels.

The ideal candidate will have a number of years' experience working in a similar practice, including running nurse clinics, and will have the ability to develop meaningful client relationships. They will have a positive and caring outlook and will be comfortable assisting in the training of the nursing team.

Package:

• Negotiable commensurate to experience 21,000 - 28,000 pro rata

Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified
