An independent small animal practice near Haverfordwest in south Wales are recruiting a permanent full time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Surrounded by stunning beaches and countryside, they are a rural practice who prides themselves on a first class small animal service, practising excellent medicine with great clients. With the usual clinical equipment they enjoy working up their own cases and providing ongoing care. The caseload is interesting and varied, with a bias towards dogs, but plenty of cats, some small furries and the occasional exotic or bird. They do all of their own surgery including orthopaedics (including TTA), and have aquatic treadmill therapy for post-op rehabilitation.
They encourage and fund CPD and the development of clinical interests. Certificate level study is encouraged. The practice covers their own out-of-hours, with a rota of 1:6 or 7 and offer a generous leave allowance (5 weeks plus 8 bank holiday equivalents) and a 4 day working week. RCVS, VDS and BVA memberships are paid by the practice.The practice have avet and nursing team that span all ages and experiences, and are very lucky to have several highly experienced members of the team, many of whom have been with them long-term.
The role involves a mixture of both consultations and operations. They require a veterinary surgeon with a minimum of 1 years' experience and competent in routine surgeries and consults. The vet must also work well as part of a team, have excellent communications skills with an easy-going friendly attitude.
The role is open to part time and full time applicants.

Salary - 35,000 - 55,000.00 Pro Rata
