Job description
We are working with a client who is looking for a ECC veterinary surgeon to join there band new emergency hospital RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital, Quantock Veterinary Hospital, in Bridgwater.
Key Details:
Type: Small animal only
Sole Charge: Yes
Weekends: 7 nights on 14 nights off
Team: Large team of Vets & Nurses of all experience levels
Branch work: Unlikely to be any required
About them:
Our client has built a new dedicated Emergency Clinic providing emergency and Out of Hours services for veterinary practices in the Somerset Region. It is being established to provide a long term high quality solution for local practices for the provision of OOH services. My client will provide Emergency and OOH services to member local veterinary practices for nights, weekends and bank holidays.
The Person:
Passion for emergency and OOH clinical work
Strong ECC clinical skills, knowledge and experience
ECC qualifications
Strong organisation and planning skills and experience
Strong team management skills and experience
Strong communication skills
The Package:
Contract: Full time, permanent contract of employment (with standard 6 month probationary period)
Salary: 50,000/55,000 neg for the right candidate
Pension: Employer pension contribution
Holiday: 5 weeks paid holiday
1 week salary sacrifice or gain (flexible 4 and 6 weeks holiday options)

Cycle to work scheme
CPD allowance:
Vet (general practice) 1750 - 5 days
Vet (RCVS AVP and specialist) 2500 - 8 days
VDS insurance: Payment of annual Practice cover VDS fees

Sick leave 2 weeks full pay paid
Compassionate Leave 5 days at the Managers discretion.
Must have:
RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
